How to Cite
Abstract
This article points out the differences and the evolution of the facilitation provisions in the traditional Agreements on Investment Promotion and Protection. It presents the Mercosur Protocol on Investment Cooperation and Facilitation as an innovative alternative among them. This article discuss practical perspectives regarding the inclusion of facilitation provisions, asking if they could compensate the fact that the Protocol does not contain some of the typical investor protection clauses.
