Abstract
The premise of the present text is that border integration is a privileged issue for the realization of the Law of Integration. The article aims to problematize cross-border integration in times of globalization and regional integration. Within the framework of the redefinition of the borders that the regionalization processes project, the problem of the exposed research aims to identify in what way these new senses can be understood and operationalized with a view to the deepening of integration. To do this, in the structure of the work, in principle the reasons for integration are reviewed and how this resignifies the national borders and then points out some integration challenges from the frontiers. One of the challenges is precisely the recognition that paradiplomacy has a prominent role to play in this process, starting with subnational state public entities, as is the case of municipalities in the border region.References
