SCOPE AND PURPOSE
The Journal of the Permanent Review Tribunal Secretariat was created to publish academic articles dealing with general legal issues such as regional integration, international organizations, and in particular MERCOSUR law.
The languages of the journal are the official languages of MERCOSUR: Spanish, Portuguese, and since 2020 it was incorporated the option to write in English and French.
Since 2022, the journal adopts a continuous publication system, with a minimum of 12 articles per year, in order to contribute to the faster dissemination of knowledge generated by authors and to give greater visibility to the journal.
Although the project's main objective is the dissemination of MERCOSUR law, publication is not restricted to the law of the regional organization. Academic productions that address the MERCOSUR legal framework, such as general international law, international economic law, and integration law, may be included in the project.
The Journal of the Permanent Review Tribunal Secretariat adheres to the DOAJ Principles of Transparency and Best Practices in Scholarly Publishing.

PEER REVIEW PROCESS
Submitted papers are analyzed by a technical council under a double-blind review system, i.e., anonymously. The members of the technical council are professors, scholars, and legal researchers with a notable academic background and have full freedom to criticize, review, approve, and reject the submitted articles. Their identity is kept confidential, and the review issued is considered as if it were from the journal.
Articles must be original, scientifically rigorous, and do not, under any hypothesis, represent the opinion of the TPR regarding the topics addressed. The journal accepts articles published on preprint servers.
Articles are subject to a plagiarism detection program and accept up to 20% similarity. If the program detects citations that are not correctly referenced, the work will not be published.
With regard to form, articles must meet the criteria and requirements established in these editorial guidelines. Such format criteria, together with the content analysis, are an essential condition for publication, and therefore will be submitted for consideration by the Editorial Team.
The review time is approximately 6 to 10 weeks.
